A food study that I referenced from a photo. It was nice to add some items to give extra context, at this point I hadn’t done that before! I really like how the extra items add interest, and even though it takes much longer to draw I think it’s worth the time.
A Purrfect Strawberry Shortcake
This cake illustration is from November and is still one of my favourites! I’m really happy with how I painted the buttercream atop the cake and the textures along the side, and I like how the shadows are quite warm against the relatively cool highlights on the left-hand side.
Cakes are some of my favourite things to draw and paint so I don’t think it will be long before I start working on a new one!

Here are a collection of food illustrations I made in October 2021. The Rilakkuma ice cream cone in particular is a favourite of mine just because of how cute it is!! I really do like the Sourdough Bread as well though, I haven’t drawn anything savoury in quite a while so looking at this makes me want to try drawing more savoury food items.
